Global AEBD’s EmpreJoven Discussed in Managua

Last October 1st, the pilot stage of Global AEBD’s EmpreJoven (Young Entrepreneurs), was the subject of an initial discussion in Managua, with the participation of prominent members of civil society organizations (see picture below).

EmpreJoven — which is part of our EmpreSomos Program — has as its major objectives the following: Link educational curricula to real-world entrepreneurship challenges; strengthen youngsters skills to either introduce improvements/innovations on existing enterprises or launch their own startups; facilitate student consulting offerings to small businesses and nonprofits; and the multiplication of relevant exchange programs with both Central American and international institutions.

The project presenter was Juan Jose Juarez – Global AEBD/SWAP4 Innovation. Project discussants included: Virginia Montoya – Global AEBD Representative, Managua; Maria Jesus Fuentes de Telleria – Dean International Relations, UAM; Jennifer Zapata – Director, HEIFER International; Violeta Granera – Director FIBRAS; Carlos Arroyo – UAM Professor, Instituto de Liderazgo; and Guillermo Thomas of the organization DEJAME INTENTARLO.
